This is the first post I've done in a really long time, I have this thing where I like the idea of keeping a blog where I can voice my thoughts and I go to the effort of creating an account but then I don't do anything with it. I do the same thing with social media, I have an account for facebook, twitter, instagram, snapchat, tumblr and pinterest, and I do absolutely nothing with them.

Sure I'll go through tumblr and pinterest to look at other people's stuff, and every now and again I'll see what updates I have on facebook thanks to what my family does, maybe I'll even send out the lone tweet, but other than that, nada. It's weird because I do actually want to be apart of it, to a certain extent, it's just that I somehow missed when everyone was starting out on them so now I'm behind and don't want to put in the effort of catching up.

I don't know, I just have other things to do I guess, usually reading fanfiction or comics. I'd read more comics but I prefer having physical comic books to read and my only real option is one of those websites that has them downloaded. I hate those websites so much, it's the only place I can go to to read the comic books that I want to but the website themselves are crap. They have the most disgusting advertisements on them and they take up so much data or bits or something (I don't know how they work) that the sites are always having to reload and freeze up when I try to scroll. It makes it so frustrating to do something that I really want to enjoy. I'm nineteen, I don't have anywhere near the money to buy the comic books that I want and I'm so behind on the runs of the characters I want to read about. Namely, Spider-Man, Peter Parker's Spider-Man to be exact. He's by far my favorite character, him and his whole supporting cast are really great, but I only know bit and pieces about them when I want so much more.

Plus, outside of comic books, I'm disatisfied with every interpretation of Spider-Man there's been, except maybe the Webb movies.

I'm actually a pretty big fan of the Amazing Spider-Man franchise, I thought they did a really great job with the characters even if the second movie was too crammed and I wish they'd held off on the Green Goblin until later. Even with its faults it was still better than Homecoming, which was just awful in so many ways the largest being none of the characters felt like they were playing who they were supposed to be, except the Tony Stark people but they don't count because I'm pissed that they had anything to do with the Spider-Man movie at all. Iron Man is not a Spider-Man character, he does not belong in Spider-Man's solo movie except maybe as, like, a brief mention.

Honestly I really wish that they'd made the main character of the movie Miles Morales and had Peter Parker as a background figure with Spider-Man being a long time presence in New York despite the fact that it probably wouldn't make much sense for the MCU to have a Spidey being around for years without any mention of him, but whatever, I'd totally overlook that kind of loophole. Hopefully the upcoming Into the Spider-Verse movie will make up for it, so far it's looking to be exactly what I want it to be.

Well, I got off the point I was trying to make, I don't blog or use social media much but I want to, so I'm going to try to put in an effort to do that. This might just be me having too much free time because it's summer, it's raining so I'm stuck indoors and I don't have to work until Tuesday, but there you have it. My goal has been stated so now I shall aim to achieve it, I guess I'll see how that goes.
